Week 43 represented one of the best weeks ever. Not “best” weeks in a month or a quarter or even since the pandemic began; best weeks ever! It was such a positive week, it’s hard to pick one of the numbers to focus on.
This week’s staffing industry statistics: Week 43
Starting with Assignments, we saw a growth of 2.0%. This is the highest full week since August. Hours, though, were at a staggering increase of 3.1%. We did that once before in July. Also, look at Gross Payroll up 5.1%! That pushed the mean pay rate all the way to $17.16. Billing followed suit with a 6.3% increase, which does include some month end billing.
For me, though, the two other numbers are very encouraging:
While we won’t be able to keep this pace up, I’m thrilled to see the industry up 15% in hours YTD and still growing!
