Week 47 was a strong bounce-back week across most of the major indices. As evidenced by the graphs below, the amazingly consistent recovery is starting to see some more volatility week over week. Here are the numbers. Note that next week is Thanksgiving week – so the numbers will be significantly impacted.
This week’s staffing industry statistics: Week 47
We are seeing User Growth plateau, showing a 4 week average of a .1% growth. On average, internal staff for this group are still down 9% since the start of the year even though Hours are up 16%. This is a great example of doing more with less – especially by relying on technology! I believe many companies are just waiting to get through the Holiday season before hiring internally again. By waiting, they also get the ability to see how the economy continues to react to the new Administration and this COVID resurgence.
In looking at Assignments across the last 3 years, we are almost (1.3%) away from our week 47 in 2019! Hopefully we can make up that difference before year-end.
