Suite 16.2: Our Most Popular Release Yet!
Are you using the latest version of Avionté?
In October we launched 16.2, our most anticipated suite release yet. If you haven’t heard about it you definitely want to learn more because 15 percent of our customers are already using or in line to upgrade to this version and it’s only been out for a few weeks. This release allows you to take advantage of our new platform for free. You still get to use the Avionté you are used to but you now get access to our anytime, anywhere, anyone Aero Platform!
The new Aero Platform has been in the works for the last year and a half and includes the Recruiter Module for Direct Hire, Job Board Module, and the Talent Module. Not only are the new modules clean, intuitive and built with user feedback, but they are also designed to make things simple.
Any recruiter can use the Recruiter Module for faster searching and on-the-go activity logging. The Recruiter Module is designed to leverage the same database as today’s core application so you can use both interfaces throughout the day for different pieces of your workflow. Clients, if you are interested in upgrading to 16.2 please contact your Client Manager.

Form I-9 – 2017 Updates
U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) introduced a new Form I-9 in November and Avionté is currently working on updating our I-9 E-Doc to meet the new specifications. The new form adds “smart” features such validations on certain fields to ensure information is entered correctly, drop-down lists and calendars as well as embedded instructions for completing each field. Employers must start using the new version of the Form I-9 by January 22, 2017 and Avionté will ensure clients have the E-Doc in time to meet the deadline.
ACA Companion App – 2017 Updates
We are very excited to deliver our ACA package clients a more intuitive and streamlined process in time for 2016 ACA reporting by introducing our ACA Companion Application.
The ACA Companion will be available before the end of 2016 and training is underway. The trainings have produced a lot of great questions and you can find answers in the FAQ on the Avionté Support Center.
The updates to our ACA functionality won’t stop in December and we have enhancements planned for 2017. Our first priority in 2017 is the ability to correct the 2016 1095-C form. This update will closely follow the ACA Companion and be delivered in advance of the IRS electronic filing deadlines. Also in 2017 we’ll introduce enhanced eligibility tracking for special unpaid leaves and greater flexibility for variable cost insurance plans.
Minimum Wage – 2017 Updates
The federal minimum wage last changed in 2009 but since then states, counties and cities have been increasing minimum wages at a rapid pace. In order to keep up with this growing trend and help you ensure accurate pay to employees, Avionté will provide the ability to set minimum wage at the local level. Look for more information on this update as we kick off 2017!
