Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 has become the year of virtual gatherings. In August, Avionté hosted our annual CONNECT conference completely online. Last week, we participated in American Staffing Association’s first-ever virtual Staffing World conference. Staffing World is the largest conference we attend each year, and this year ASA created a cutting-edge, unique virtual experience.
The American Staffing Association (ASA) took an innovative approach to its virtual conference by building an entirely new virtual conference platform. Attending Staffing World 2020 felt like playing a game of Sims. We were able to design our own Avatars and use our own faces via video to add a personal touch as we interacted with clients and prospects.
Avionté was excited to be launching its latest offering at this year’s Staffing World event: the CHANGE card. The CHANGE paycard is a staffing paycard built specifically for the staffing and recruiting industry that empowers your agency to incentivize the employee behaviors that have the biggest impact on your bottom line. In addition to paying employees faster, you can reward your most reliable talent with points for the good work they do. Avionté is thrilled to bring CHANGE to the staffing industry, and we were happy to share our excitement at Staffing World.
We had another exciting change to share at last week’s conference – no pun intended! Avionté welcomed our new CEO, Rishabh Mehrotra, to the team. Rishabh immediately dove in and attended Staffing World 2020 to learn more about the staffing and recruiting industry. He was able to meet many of our existing clients and enjoyed engaging with attendees from all facets of the industry.
Avionté had the opportunity to present three great sessions throughout the conference. Our Game Changer presentation feature Avionté client, Nikki Palmer, from David Aplin Group. This session was focused on how David Aplin Group is using the Avionté ecosystem of products to not only maintain their business but thrive amid the global pandemic. Avionté Enterprise Account Executive, Jon Rutten, also presented two on-demand presentations. Jon’s TechTalk focused on using technology to enhance the candidate experience. You can view that session here. Jon also presented a Knowledge Bite. These are quick 5-minute sessions on a universally helpful topic. Jon’s session on emotional intelligence was selected from a group of submissions. Check it out!
It wouldn’t be a Staffing World conference without a little fun! Though we couldn’t gather in person this year, Avionté still found plenty of ways to entertain attendees and staff at Staffing World. We hosted a caricature artist at our virtual booth who create digital caricatures via Zoom.
Avionté also hosted a live stream Dueling Pianos Show via Youtube in partnership with Bobby McKey’s Dueling Piano Bar. Our dueling piano show was such a hit at CONNECT that we had to bring them back for Staffing World. We invited attendees to grab a drink and tune in (no pun intended!) This show had attendees dancing in their living rooms all across the country, and it was a blast to see everyone’s song recommendations in real time. Our team had an amazing time connecting with so many clients, partners and staffing professionals in whole new way. Major kudos to ASA for pivoting during this unprecedented year and being at the cutting edge of virtual conference innovation. However, we cannot wait to gather with you in person again very soon!
