The Avionté RAW weekly report shares staffing industry trends, news, and statistics each week. The goal of this report is to provide staffing industry data you can use as a benchmarking tool to help with your own staffing company growth projections.
Week 42 was mediocre with Assignments and Total Billing paving the way with a .7% and 1.2% increase respectively. Hours, however, were flat. If you look at hours since week 39, we are only up .2% in total, indicating a substantial flattening of growth. While this is somewhat discouraging, it is unsurprising with the number of COVID-19 cases rising and increased restrictions beginning around the US.

The numbers also point to a slowdown in New Talent entering into the job market. This week represented the slowest full week since mid-August. This is a trend to watch. I believe that the entire Contingent Workforce will go up in the next three quarters, regardless of the election results. If that is correct– I would expect a lot of new entrants into the job market.
On an encouraging note: Hours are now only .4% away from the same week in 2019!
