Week 51 represents the last full week of the year – and the last RAW for 2020. Our next pull of the numbers will be on January 18, 2021 for Week 2, ending January 10th. As you know and have lived through year after year, the Holiday season provides a lot of variability. As an example – for all of our 2020 YTD numbers, we used Week 2 as our baseline.
Our numbers last week showed a significant softening going into the Holiday season, highlighted by hours being off by 2.3%. New talent also dropped significantly (-8%).
We did end the year in a very positive state, though, with Assignments, Hours, Gross and Billing all reporting double-digit growth. Remember, that’s double-digit growth from pre-COVID levels.

It’s hard to see in the 3-year graphs below, but I found it super exciting to see that 2020 hours topped 2019 starting in week 49 and 2020 Assignments topped the previous year this week, for the first time!
The hope – and my personal belief – is that the need for an open economy, manufacturing, and a marketplace coupled with increasing compliance demands sprinkled with governments being in debt will all lead to a strong year in 2021.
