Week 9 was a strong bounce back week over the shortened week 8. Instead of comparing to last week, let’s focus on YTD numbers. For all the major categories, we are in positive YTD territory, with the notable exception of New Talent.
Unfortunately, week 7 continued the softening of our labor market, albeit by modest amounts. Assignments were off by .3% and hours down by 1%. Here are the numbers:
Week 6 was a down week, across the board. Assignment were off by almost 2% with Hours coming in down 1%. On the positive front, we are still up YTD (over week 2) for both of those categories.
Week 5 was a mixed week, though I’d like to take a more optimistic view of the data. Assignments were moderately up at 1.3%, though hours and gross were down. In general, almost all metrics were up in the month.
We are back! We hope everyone had a great Holiday season, saying goodbye (riddance?) to 2020 and a good start to 2021.
